PetBooqz — practice software and bank compatibility

Practice management software · All point-of-sale systems

  • veterinary

PetBooqz is practice-management software for veterinary. Written by Cider House ICT out of Rowville in Melbourne's outer east.

Certified on mx51 and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The mx51 route does not.

Tyro rates it a Plus partner.

The mx51 integration uses Spice and was last certified in August 2023, on Windows.

PetBooqz is veterinary practice management software, not a retail POS, and it comes from Cider House ICT in Rowville, Victoria. The company's pitch rests on 20-plus years of experience with veterinary providers in Australia and overseas, and on practice retention over that period.

The clinical and admin side is what it is built around: hospital charts, boarding, accounting, wellness plans, reminder schedules, SMS and email out of the system, and pet insurance eClaims as a standard feature. It integrates with Xero and MYOB, runs either cloud or local, and works in the browser. Notably it goes wider than vets — groomers, dog walkers and doggy day care are named segments too.

The claiming to check here is pet insurance, not Medicare — this is animal health, so the terminal is settling an owner-paid invoice with an insurer claim behind it. Ask which insurers the eClaims module actually covers for your client base.

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
