Pointsoft (bespoke for Rashays) is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by Pointsoft (M). A Malaysian hospitality POS that got onto the Australian certification list through a single customer: Rashays.
Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.
The mx51 integration uses Spice and was last certified in May 2025, on Windows.
Pointsoft is a food-and-beverage point-of-sale provider with more than 20 years in the Asia Pacific region, operating out of Malaysia. Its pitch is language- and hardware-agnostic, scaling from a single store to a multi-country chain, with real-time reporting, payment automation for cards and e-wallets, links into finance, payroll, ERP and CRM, and 365-day support.
The Australian footprint here is one chain. Rashays was founded in 1998 by Rami and Shannon Ykmour with a single restaurant in Liverpool, in Sydney's south-west, and now runs more than 30 casual-dining restaurants across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. A build certified for one chain isn't something a merchant can shortlist — but it does tell you Pointsoft will do the local certification work if the account is big enough to justify it.
