POS BAMI is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail, built by BAMI VIETNAMESE. A Vietnamese street-food chain that got its own till accredited — this is a restaurant group, not a software company.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

Bami started as an Adelaide food truck in 2016, founded by Trien Le, Mai Nong and Khanh Tran — Le and Nong childhood friends and life partners — and has grown past 20 stores around Australia. The name nods to bánh mì, staff call themselves the Bamily, and each restaurant carries a small museum of Vietnamese cultural artefacts. Head of marketing Benito Cirillo has said the aim is to bring the food and the culture to regional Australia, Shepparton included, not just the capitals.

It is also moving upmarket. The Henley Square site that opened in March 2024 was its first beach-area restaurant and a deliberate shift from takeaway to a bistro format, with Le saying the new venues would have a higher-end feel than the previous ones and that Adelaide has the highest consumption rate of Vietnamese food in the country. POS BAMI sits on Linkly's accredited register at v1.0 — the chain built its own till and had it certified rather than buying someone else's. Nothing published says which legal entity owns it, and there are several Bami registrations across South Australia and Victoria, so this is not a product you can go out and buy.
