POSSOFT POS — bank compatibility
Point-of-sale system by Abstract Services · All point-of-sale systems

POSSOFT is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by Abstract Services. One sole trader in Parramatta behind two brands, two domains and two separate entries in the EFTPOS directories.
Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.
The integration covers tipping, phone and mail order and surcharging.
The mx51 integration uses Spice and was last certified in April 2023, on Windows.
possoft.com.au publishes ABN 89 204 087 446, and the register resolves that to Michael Italiano, individual sole trader -- not a company at all. Active from 6 February 2013, GST-registered from July 2022, holding one business name: Abstract Services NSW, registered August 2022. Both sites share the same phone number and both give 144 Marsden Street, Parramatta. So "Abstract Services" and "POSSOFT Point of Sale Solutions" are not two vendors. They are one operator wearing two hats.
The two hats do different jobs, and it is worth knowing which one you are talking to. possoft.com.au is the product: an all-in-one POS and marketing platform for small business, POS plus loyalty and inventory, own-brand POSSOFT hardware, EFTPOS through Tyro, Westpac and CBA, and integrations to TabSquare and ClickSend. abstractservices.com.au is a services bureau sitting across other people's software -- POS licences, menu and item build-outs, technical support, DIY video tutorials, paper and peripherals. Menu setup there is priced from $6.50 per button or item combination, which is the only published price point anywhere in this cohort.
Both sites claim 30-plus years' experience against an ABN that starts in 2013, so there is history that is not on the register. The named customers are small-end suburban Sydney: Frances at Euro Cafe, Paul at Liquorstax Bonnyrigg, Allan at Allans Mens Hairdressing. One claim to treat carefully -- the services site says it is "Authors of many mainstream POS Software systems" and names PetraPOS, FED POS, POS Depot, Retail Therapy POS and Mantas Systems, but Linkly's accredited list attributes Retail Therapy to a different vendor entirely, ITNT Group Pty Ltd.
