PowerEPOS by Triniteq is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by Triniteq. Perth, 1997 — old enough to have been wiring PDAs to tills before anyone called it a handheld.
Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.
It handles pay at table, split bills and cash out. Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
Triniteq has been going since 1997 out of Perth, which makes it one of the longer-running hospitality POS shops in the country — 28+ years by its own count. PowerEPOS is the current platform; WaiterPOS is the older line still sitting in the menu. Teams are spread across WA, NSW and Queensland and they support venues nationally. Add-ons run to stock, sales analyst, loyalty, gift cards and vouchers, accounts and insights.
Worth knowing: they can't keep their own numbers straight. The hero copy on the About page says "1,000's" of venues while the page metadata on that same page says 400+. Nobody explains the gap. Treat either figure as a claim rather than a count, and ask for reference sites your size.
What they're actually known for is the awkward end of hospitality — stadiums, convention centres and events rather than a single café. Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and Stadiums Tasmania are named customers. They push offline trading hard (keep selling when the internet drops), claim 20+ payment provider integrations, and lean on Australian-made certification and local business-hours plus after-hours support.
Connected through
A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
