PPMP is practice-management software for allied health and health. The company behind it is Nijoel Pty Ltd. Nobody says what the letters stand for, and the vendor's own site now points allied health buyers at its newer product instead.
Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.
It handles HealthPoint private health claiming, Medicare bulk billing, Medicare Easyclaim, cash out and multi-merchant. Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
PPMP is practice management software for allied health, a registered trade mark of Nijoel Pty Ltd, with a PO Box in Ivanhoe, Victoria and privacy documentation pointing to Melbourne. Users run from solo practitioners up to multi-disciplinary clinics and national networks. It comes in PPMP Cloud and PPMP On-Premises, and the version listed is v9.11.
The claiming is thorough, which is why it is still around. The Tyro integration carries the full Medicare Easyclaim set — bulk bill, part paid and patient paid — plus Tyro HealthPoint, multi-merchant, ICD codes, integrated cashout, purchases, refunds and reports. The software itself adds Medicare Online and DVA claiming, WorkCover QLD claiming, attendance notes with body charts, MYOB and Xero integration, HICAPS terminal links and automated backups. For a busy allied health clinic that is a complete claiming picture.
Here is the thing to notice. PPMP's own website now recommends BetterClinics for allied health and BetterHQ for non-health businesses — both Nijoel products. When a vendor's site steers new buyers away from the product you are evaluating, you are looking at a mature system in soft sunset. Ask directly what the roadmap is, and what the migration path to BetterClinics costs, before you put a clinic on it.
Health claiming at the terminal
Certified through Tyro for ICD codes, Medicare Easyclaim — bulk bill, Medicare Easyclaim — part paid, Medicare Easyclaim — patient paid, Tyro HealthPoint. Tyro is its own acquirer, so claiming through the terminal means banking with Tyro.
