Praktika is practice-management software for dental and health. The company behind it is Lizard Software. Melbourne dental software that says it hasn't put its prices up in 17 years.
Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

Praktika is cloud-based dental practice management out of Burwood East in Melbourne — appointments, restorative and periodontal charting, treatment planning, imaging and X-rays, automated recalls, online booking and payments, patient online forms and reporting. Capterra lists the vendor as Lizard Software, founded 2000; Praktika's own site claims over 18 years in the industry. Pricing is a flat monthly fee per practice, listed around $260.
The claiming is the serious bit. The Tyro integration carries the full Medicare Easyclaim set — bulk bill, part paid and patient paid — plus Tyro HealthPoint, rebate estimates and integrated split payments. For a dental practice that is the whole job: health fund claiming at the chair, and Medicare where it applies.
The pricing claim is worth testing. They say prices have not increased in 17 years, which is flattering for a merchant but also the sort of thing worth probing — ask what has shipped in the last two years before you commit a practice to it. Reviews are few and positive: two on Capterra at 5.0, both praising support, with Michael noting "she goes above and beyond to help solve any issues." A two-review sample tells you about the vendor's size more than its quality.
Health claiming at the terminal
Certified through Tyro for Medicare Easyclaim — bulk bill, Medicare Easyclaim — part paid, Medicare Easyclaim — patient paid, Rebate estimate, Tyro HealthPoint. Tyro is its own acquirer, so claiming through the terminal means banking with Tyro.
