Pratham WebPOS — bank compatibility

Pratham WebPOS is a point-of-sale system for hair and beauty and services. The POS is a side product — Achyut Labs is an IT services shop, and that is the thing to weigh before you buy a till from them.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.

Pratham is an end-to-end retail chain product from Achyut Labs, which the Tyro directory records as Achyut Labs Pty Ltd. It covers point of sale for products and services, administration across all stores, sales reporting, and customer and employee management, runs on cloud, web, Windows and Android, and is sold with a free version and a free trial on flat-rate pricing.

The context matters more than the feature list. Achyut Labs describes itself as a software development company in Australia, but it lists Australian, Indian and US phone numbers, its copyright reads Achyut Labs Pvt Ltd, and it sells on an offshore cost advantage. Its actual business is services — web and mobile development, digital marketing and SEO, DevOps, cloud, IoT, IT support, graphic design, SAP consulting — with Pratham as one product among them. That is a different proposition to a company whose only product is the till your business runs on.

The review listings carry no user ratings at all despite being labelled top-rated, so there is nothing independent to go on. Not a reason to rule it out, especially if you want custom development alongside the POS, which is arguably what this vendor is actually good for. Just do not mistake it for an established retail platform, and get support commitments in writing with the hours spelled out.
