Pret-a-Pos — bank compatibility

Pret-a-Pos is a point-of-sale system for fashion and apparel and retail. Tyro's own partner directory files this one under Indigo8 Solutions, the Melbourne apparel ERP company.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

Pret-a-Pos appears in Tyro's POS partner directory with the company given as Indigo8 Solutions, categorised Retail and Fashion Apparel, with integrated purchases, receipts, refunds and split payments. Indigo8 is Indigo8 Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 23 138 651 635, of Brighton in Melbourne — an apparel ERP house whose software started in 2003 as internal systems for a large American apparel business and was bought from that business's new owners by three staff in 2004. Indigo8 also runs its own iPad POS line in Enterprise and Lite editions, and sells a full apparel ERP covering wholesale, production, inventory and warehouse pick-and-pack, priced from A$2,000 a month for Enterprise LITE and A$5,000 for Enterprise PLUS.

One caveat worth stating plainly rather than papering over: that Tyro listing is the only public link between the Pret-a-Pos name and Indigo8, and pretapos.com blocks automated access, so the exact corporate relationship is not documented anywhere public — whether it is the same product under an earlier name, a separate brand, or a legacy directory entry. If you are running Pret-a-Pos, the questions to put to Indigo8 directly are whether it is still a supported line, what it maps to in the current Enterprise tiers, and which EFTPOS terminals it is certified against, since Indigo8's iPad POS supports Tyro, Windcave and Linkly Cloud.
