ProfiitPlus is a point-of-sale system for auto mechanics, automotive, general retail and gifts and homeware, and 2 more. Brisbane-built since 1981 and still privately owned — the hardware store and landscaping yard is where it actually lives.

ProfiitPlus comes from Foresiight, a privately owned Australian company founded in 1981 and run out of Brisbane under managing director Manny Gill. Forty-five years in the same business is rare in this market, and rarer still without a private equity owner on the cap table — almost everything else of that age in this directory has been bought at least once.

The niche is the useful part. Foresiight sells into retail, hardware, landscaping, pharmacy, wholesale and importing, and it is the hardware and landscaping end where it is genuinely strong: thousands of SKUs, bulk and loose quantities, account customers, delivery runs, and a trade counter that has to do a cash sale and a charge-to-account in the same minute. It is an ERP with a POS in it rather than a till with reports bolted on, and the accounting and ecommerce modules are part of the same platform.

Tyro certifies it at Power Up tier, tagged across general retail, gifts and homeware, automotive and auto mechanics. If you are a single-register gift shop this is heavier than you need. If you are a hardware store, a produce or landscaping supplier, or a wholesaler with a shopfront, it is one of the few Australian products built for exactly that shape.
