Qdos Point of sale solution POS — bank compatibility

Qdos Point of sale solution is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Qdos. A South Melbourne ERP with a till attached — unusually strong in charity retail, wine and liquor distribution.

Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.

The mx51 integration uses Spice and was last certified in April 2026, on Windows.

Qdos is an Australian ERP and operations platform rather than a standalone point of sale. The till sits alongside inventory, purchasing, wholesale, warehousing and 3PL, e-commerce, CRM and loyalty, and reporting, all in the one system. The company is based in South Melbourne and says it has been working with Australian businesses for more than 20 years.

Where it is genuinely strong is a useful filter. Its named verticals are charity retail — including large op-shop networks — plus wine, spirits and beer, beauty and cosmetics, and franchise operations. It supports EDI trading with Coles Liquor Group, Endeavour Group and ALM, which is the real tell: this is built for a business that sells retail at the front and supplies wholesale out the back, and needs both sides on one stock file. Adore Beauty ran on Qdos during an earlier stage of its growth.

If you're a single-site shop with no wholesale arm, that's a lot of platform you won't use.
