QuickVet — practice software and bank compatibility

QuickVet is practice-management software for veterinary. The company behind it is Vetsone IT Pty Ltd. American software, Australian-supported since 1998, and the same product sells under a different name back home.
Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.
Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
QuickVet is veterinary practice management software, co-developed with BWCI, a US programming company. Vetsone IT Pty Ltd has sold and supported it in Australia since 1998. The same software also goes out as AHMS — Tyro's partner record states the two are identical except for the name, which is exactly the sort of thing nobody tells you until you go hunting for documentation.
The feature set is clinic admin rather than retail: SMS and email to clients including attachments, multiple sites with site-specific reporting, multiple daybook and banking functions, and management reporting. The Tyro integration covers integrated purchases, receipts and refunds.
Deployment is the thing to ask about. For the last eight years Vetsone's preferred setup has been a Terminal Server with thin client workstations, and they have been moving clinics onto it and off ageing hardware, with an option to run on a cloud server for remote access. That is a 1998-era architecture modernised rather than a cloud-native product. Fine if it works for you — but know what you are signing up to maintain, and that the Australian support chain is one company.
