RedCat is a point-of-sale system for hospitality. The platform behind Nando's, Boost Juice and Chatime loyalty, and since early 2025 it has had growth-equity money behind it.
Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Redcat is a Melbourne hospitality IT company out of Cremorne, and it is not really a single-site till. It sells the whole stack under the product name Polygon: POS, online and app ordering, kiosks, drive-thru, QR table ordering, kitchen management, loyalty and delivery-aggregator integration, aimed squarely at multi-site QSR and franchise groups. It describes itself as a transaction platform rather than a POS. Loyalty programs running on its technology reach over eight million Australians.
On ownership, read both versions. Four directors — Jeff Lamb, Lawrence Pelletier, Pepe Ochoa and Frank Tarantino — took the business over in a management buyout in mid-2017. In February 2025 Redcat announced a growth-equity partnership with Armitage Associates, and its own release says the four founders keep ownership and operations do not change. Preqin logs the same transaction as a majority stake acquisition by Armitage, dated January 2025. Worth settling which is right before you sign a long contract.
Customers named on its own site include Nando's, Boost Juice, Chatime, Grill'd, Gong Cha, San Churro, Schnitz, Hog's Breath and Noodle Box, with Betty's Burgers, Gami Chicken and the Australian Open added in its press material. It launched in the UK at Lord's Cricket Ground in February 2023. The odd one out: it also runs food and drink service on Queensland Rail's long-haul trains across eight lines, and on V/Line. Founding year is contested — CB Insights and Capterra say 1992, its own UK supplier profile says 1994, and its main site gives no year at all.
Connected through
A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
