Rentrax POS — bank compatibility

Rentrax is a point-of-sale system for accommodation. Canadian rental software — bikes, skis, boats, party gear — whose own website can't agree on how many customers it has.

Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.

The mx51 integration uses SPI JavaScript and was last certified in July 2022, on Browser.

Rentrax is rental and tour management software, built by a former rental business owner and based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The verticals it covers are broad: bike and scooter, snow equipment, party and event hire, boat and jet ski, water sports, tools and construction equipment, dumpsters, AV and tech gear, furniture, medical and mobility equipment, motorised vehicles like ATVs and snowmobiles, and tour operators and guides.

Its numbers need care. The site claims 'over 3,000 users in 10+ countries' in one place and 'trusted by over 500 businesses over the past decade' in another, and parts of the page still carry unfilled counters and placeholder text. The named references are all North American — Outpost Sports, Gnomes Alpine Sports, Yes Cycle — and the contact form's country selector offers only Canada.

No Australian office is stated anywhere on the site. For a seasonal rental business where a broken booking system on a Saturday morning is the whole weekend's takings, that's the first question to settle, not the last.

Connected through

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
