S8Kiosk is a self-service kiosk for cafes, hospitality and restaurants. Shift8's self-order kiosk, from a Haymarket outfit whose entire business is multi-site franchise food.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

Tyro rates it a Plus partner.

S8Kiosk is the self-service end of Shift8's platform — a kiosk the customer orders at themselves, not a counter terminal a staff member drives. Shift8 Pty Ltd operates from 8 Cunningham St, Haymarket in Sydney, and builds for multi-site brands and franchisors: menus, pricing, loyalty and reporting controlled from head office rather than set up store by store. Its kiosk line runs on Android kiosk hardware and on iPad.

That head-office model is the reason the payment path matters more here than on a counter till. In a franchise group the kiosk is the one terminal with nobody standing behind it, so a declined card or a dropped connection has no staff member to rescue it, and the menu has to be pushed centrally. Shift8 builds for exactly that: S8mc for multi-site control of menus, pricing and inventory, S8pos for the counter, Order Ahead for online, loyalty across iOS, Android, web and physical cards, and reporting on top. Its own framing is high-volume quick service.

One thing to raise early: Shift8 also sells Shift8 Payments. If you have an acquirer you want to keep, say so at the quoting stage rather than after the kiosks are ordered.

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
