Sales Version POS — bank compatibility

Point-of-sale system by Siriusware · All point-of-sale systems

Sales Version is a point-of-sale system for entertainment and leisure, built by Siriusware. A ski-resort till from Taos, New Mexico that is now explicitly a legacy product its owner only keeps the lights on for.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Siriusware had been supplying point of sale to the ski and snow sports industry since 1989 out of Taos, New Mexico, with 130-plus ski resorts from North America to New Zealand and more than 120 attraction clients by the time accesso Technology Group bought it in December 2013 for a reported £8 million. The product was Siriusware Salespoint Solutions — one system covering ticketing, membership, retail, food and beverage, rentals and card processing. accesso rebranded it accesso Siriusware in April 2015.

Here is the bit that matters more than the history. accesso now describes it in its own words as the 'legacy accesso Siriusware point of sale solution' which it continues to support, while steering attractions and cultural venues to accesso Passport and ski resorts to accesso Paradox. That is a vendor telling you, in public, that this product is not where the investment is going.

accesso itself is in good shape — AIM-listed as ACSO out of Twyford in Berkshire, 1,200-plus venues across 34 countries, around 700 staff. But if you are specifying a till for a new site, 'legacy, still supported' is a different proposition from 'current', and the payment integration on a legacy platform is exactly the thing that stops getting recertified first.
