Salongenius is a point-of-sale system for hair and beauty and services, built by Mascolo Support Services. Gone — it folded into Zenoti and stopped being supported after June 2021, so a live EFTPOS certification against it means very little now.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

Certified for cash out.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

SALONGENIUS was a salon management system that ran for over twenty years, and then it stopped. The company announced it was joining forces with Zenoti, migrated customers across free of charge, and set a hard deadline: all transfers had to be done by the end of June 2021, after which SALONGENIUS was no longer supported. Their own stated reason was wanting to be cloud-based and deciding it was faster to move onto Zenoti's platform than to rebuild.

So if you are a salon still running it, you are on software that has had no vendor behind it for years. The practical consequence for payments is the one that bites: terminal certifications and bank integrations do not get maintained on a dead product, so a scheme mandate or a terminal firmware change can break your integrated EFTPOS with nobody to fix it. If you are comparing systems and SALONGENIUS comes up in a directory, read it as history.
