StarrPOS — bank compatibility

StarrPOS is a point-of-sale system for cafes, hospitality and quick service, built by StarrTec Solutions. Brisbane, twenty-odd years at it, and the same platform as the StarPOS record on this site.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

The integration covers cash out. Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Starrtec has been writing the Star Office inventory program and Star POS point of sale for hospitality across Australasia for over twenty years, out of Brisbane. The stack is deep for a company this size: StarPOS on the counter, StarOffice for back office, plus StarBoard, StarPad, StarMonitor, StarLoyalty, StarEntry Kiosk, a StarManager app, a StarCustomer app and StarPDE. Kitchen management, QR ordering, inventory and loyalty all sit inside it.

Who it is for: restaurants and fine dining, casual dining, franchise and quick service, pubs and bars, accommodation and hotels, and clubs. Six segments, which is a wide spread for a Brisbane shop, and the thing they lead on is screen layout flexibility — unlimited layouts, designs and colours. The old company domain, starrtec.com.au, now redirects to starpos.com.au, so the product name has effectively swallowed the company name.
