SuperMenuPOS — bank compatibility

SuperMenuPOS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality. A Virginia company whose own marketing scopes it to the Washington DC metro area, somehow sitting on an Australian EFTPOS integration list.

Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.

The integration covers tipping, phone and mail order and surcharging.

The mx51 integration uses Spice and was last certified in March 2021, on Windows.

Supermenu POS, LLC is based in Herndon, Virginia. CB Insights puts the founding at 2003, and the company's own About page says "Since 2003, we have helped thousands of independent restaurants modernize their computer systems and operations." No founders are named anywhere, and the CB Insights profile is unclaimed with no funding, no investors and no acquisition on record.

The real business is the US merchant-services reseller channel, not restaurants directly. Its partner page is a wall of American processors -- Dejavoo, TSYS, Heartland, CardConnect, Evo Payments, FIS/Worldpay among them -- and the site pitches itself to merchant service companies wanting restaurant POS to run card volume through. Exactly one Australian domain appears across that 28-partner list. It also still sells "Private Cloud Servers", meaning an on-premise architecture, which is unusual against a field that has gone SaaS.

For an Australian merchant the relevant facts are the absences: no Australian entity, no Australian office, no Australian phone number, and its own meta description defines the service area as the Washington DC metro area. The only independent comment found anywhere was an operator selling his setup on a pizza-industry forum, who called it "a great starter POS" but said plainly "This is not a POS for someone with a high volume operation." No reviews on Capterra, GetApp or G2 at all, and the site footer still reads 2023.
