TCPOS.Net POS — bank compatibility

TCPOS.Net is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by TCPOS. Swiss-built, Italian-owned since 2018, and the company itself no longer exists — TCPOS SA became Zucchetti Switzerland SA in January 2019.

TCPOS is enterprise POS for staff and corporate catering, travel retail, stadiums, hospitals and universities, run out of Mendrisio in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. Zucchetti, the software group from Lodi in Italy, took a stake in 2013 and bought the remaining shares in February 2018. On 4 January 2019 TCPOS SA was renamed Zucchetti Switzerland SA, and the German, French, Austrian, Bulgarian and Mexican subsidiaries were all renamed Zucchetti at the same time. TCPOS survives as a product brand — the site reads "TCPOS by Zucchetti" — but the company behind the name is gone.

On its own numbers: more than 250,000 POS terminals deployed, 10,000-plus businesses, 400-plus staff, with Zucchetti behind it at close to 10,000 employees and about 2,600 in R&D. Named clients include Compass Group, BaxterStorey, Borussia Dortmund, Costa Coffee, Eataly, Costa Crociere, Alnatura, Vodafone and a string of Swiss hospitals and universities. It also bought Data Connect, a retail technology firm near Basel, in September 2018.

The Australian position is thin but genuine. TCPOS SA is on Linkly's accredited POS vendor list in Australia, listed as TCPOS.Net v4.00 for retail. No Australian customer is named anywhere on its site, and Australia appears only as an option on the contact form. This is a European product with an Australian payments certification, not an Australian business.
