E-Soft Technologies has operated since 2011 out of Seven Hills in western Sydney, and it is not primarily a POS company. It does e-commerce web applications, iOS and Android apps, web design, SEO and digital marketing, plus a wholesale orders management system and digital geotechnical reporting forms. The Best POS is one product in that mix — worth knowing, because it tells you where the development attention sits.
What makes it specific is the hardware and the aggregators. It integrates weighing scales, which is why it turns up in grocers and cake shops rather than only restaurants, along with barcode scanners and EFTPOS, and it pulls orders in from Uber Eats, Menulog, DoorDash, Deliveroo and Google. There is a companion loyalty app, Hunger Rewards, running location-based specials and repeat-customer rewards.
The Tyro integration covers purchases, receipts, refunds, reports, split payments and tipping — tipping being the one most of the small Australian tills skip. Named customers include Cakemania, Budget Shutters, Mobile Phone Rescue and Perfect Media, which is a small and mixed list. Capable fit for a food retailer who weighs product and takes delivery orders, from a vendor whose main business is elsewhere.
