TP.Net POS — bank compatibility

TP.Net is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Wincor Nixdorf. A German retail platform with a Siemens parentage, a KKR buyout and an owner that no longer exists under its own name.
Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.
The Linkly integration runs on premise. Linkly holds 2 separate certified builds for it, so what works depends which one you are on.
The lineage runs back to Nixdorf Computer, founded by Heinz Nixdorf in 1952. Siemens bought it in 1990 and it became Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme; in 1998 it refocused on retail and banking; on 1 October 1999 Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Goldman Sachs bought it out of Siemens and renamed it Wincor Nixdorf. It floated on 19 May 2004 on the Frankfurt exchange, and by FY2014/15 was turning over EUR2.427 billion with 9,100 staff out of Paderborn.
TP.net is the store software from that house — hardware-independent, built on the Microsoft .NET Framework, covering multi-store management, loyalty, rules-based pricing and promotions and advanced checkout. It was introduced to the US market in January 2008 with around 50,000 users across 26 countries at the time. It belongs to the wider TP Application Suite, which Wincor put on more than 200,000 point-of-sale systems in over 70 countries. Version 5.5 landed at NRF 2015 with cross-channel ordering and a CRM module.
The vendor is gone as a name. Wincor Nixdorf merged into Diebold on 15 August 2016; the German listed entity became Diebold Nixdorf AG, and on 8 November 2018 Diebold initiated a merger squeeze-out of the remaining minority holders, after which Diebold Nixdorf AG ceased to exist as a separate company and left the Frankfurt exchange. If your integration paperwork says Wincor Nixdorf, your vendor is Diebold Nixdorf — the same company that went through Chapter 11 in 2023.
