Triniteq POS is a point-of-sale system for accommodation, bars and pubs, cafes and hospitality, and 2 more. Perth-built since 1997, run by a former chef, and the one you see in stadiums and convention centres rather than corner cafes.

Triniteq started in Perth in 1997 and is still based there, with staff in Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland. Its claim to history is handheld ordering — it was connecting PDA ordering devices to its POS software early, long before a tablet in a waiter's hand was normal. PowerEPOS is the current platform and carries Australian Made certification; WaiterPOS is the older name still in the product family.

Chief executive Shaun Munro came to it from the floor, not from software: a chef who went on to manage restaurants and hotels, then did an MBA, and has pushed the product to be built around how a venue actually runs a service. That shows in where it wins. Named customers include Stadiums Tasmania, VenuesWest, the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and Icebergs Dining Room & Bar in Sydney — high-volume, multi-outlet, event-driven sites where the order flow is the hard part. Its own numbers are inconsistent between 400-plus venues and thousands, so treat the count as unverified.

It lists more than 20 integrated payment providers, which is unusually open for an Australian platform and means you are less likely to be locked to one acquirer. Tyro certifies it at Power Up tier, tagged across bars and pubs, cafes, restaurants, accommodation and retail.
