Twirll POS is a point-of-sale system for bars and pubs, butchers and grocers, cafes and general retail, and 5 more, built by Twirll. Chelsea on Melbourne's bayside, with most of the team offshore and the pricing in US dollars.
Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.
Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.
Twirll trades as Twirll Inc, runs from Chelsea in Melbourne's south-east, was founded in 2014 and has somewhere between 11 and 50 staff. The pitch is all-in-one rather than till-only: POS, ecommerce, CRM, inventory, marketing and financials on a single platform, aimed at retail, restaurants, wholesale, manufacturing and services.
Two practical notes before you get excited about the breadth. Much of the product, engineering and sales team is India-based, with 24/7 support offered as the upside — useful if you trade late, worth testing if you want someone local attending site. And it prices in US dollars, around $39 per user per month plus a setup charge scaled to your size, so your software cost moves with the exchange rate.
Review volume is thin: three reviews on Capterra Australia, all five stars, all short. That tells you it is small here, not that it is bad — but it does mean you should insist on talking to an Australian customer of your own size before committing.
