Univex POS is a point-of-sale system for fashion and apparel, general retail, gifts and homeware and retail. Specialists in the awkward end of retail — multi-store, complicated inventory, the shops where a flat product file does not work.
Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.
Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
Univex POS comes from The Univex Group, trading as Univex Electronics Pty Ltd, an Australian company supporting retailers across Australia and New Zealand, with Paul Filmer as managing director. They position deliberately: "Specialists in Multi-store and Complex Inventory", aimed at professional, small-corporate and multi-store retailers, and best suited to high-volume, large-inventory businesses rather than a single counter.
The verticals they name are the tell — pets, garden centres, music, supermarkets, homewares, appliances, giftware, fishing and tackle, outdoors, adult stores and B2B wholesale. Those are all businesses where the product file is a nightmare: thousands of SKUs, size and variant explosions, serial numbers, special orders. The platform carries promotional, customer management and retail intelligence modules plus Customer Journey Analysis for directing marketing spend, and a named case study with Bumps Snowsports.
Tyro certification covers integrated purchases, receipts, refunds and reports. If you are a multi-store operation, ask specifically how inventory visibility across sites behaves at the till, because that is what they sell on and it is the thing worth testing in a demo rather than taking on trust.

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
