VetlinkPRO is practice-management software for veterinary, built by Vetlink Pro. An Auckland practice management system, quietly owned by Constellation Software since 2022.
Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.
The integration covers cash out. Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
VetlinkPRO is veterinary practice management software, not a POS. It was established in 1989, is based in Auckland, and runs in more than 300 veterinary practices across the Asia Pacific. Appointment booking, telemedicine and laboratory management are the core, and the terminal transaction is the tail end of a clinical workflow rather than a retail sale.
Jonas Software acquired it on 17 November 2022 — VetlinkPRO was Jonas's first move into veterinary practice management, with Jeff McKee, CEO of Jonas Software ANZ, fronting the deal. Jonas is an operating group of Constellation Software Inc (TSX: CSU), the Toronto-listed acquirer that owns hundreds of vertical software businesses and almost never sells one.
That ownership is the part most clinics have missed, and it is worth knowing for two reasons. Constellation businesses tend to be stable and long-lived rather than reinvented, and they tend to price on renewal rather than discount on acquisition. Budget for the former and expect the latter.
