VPOS is a point-of-sale system for automotive and transport, built by VELOCITY VEHICLE GROUP AUSTRALIA. The vendor isn't a software house at all — it's the truck dealer group that bought Eagers' entire Daimler network.

Velocity Vehicle Group Australia is the local arm of Velocity Vehicle Group, a large United States Daimler Trucks dealer whose co-presidents are Brad Fauvre and Conan Barker and which runs 36 dealership locations in US markets. Its Australian entry was announced in December 2020 and completed on 1 May 2021, when it acquired the Daimler Truck and Bus sales and service dealerships that Eagers Automotive had run across Australia — a business employing roughly 650 people across Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, for a reported $108 million. The network was rebranded Velocity Truck Centres. In October 2021 it also bought Daimler Trucks Huntingwood, a dealership with a 30-plus year history and about 125 staff, from Daimler Truck and Bus Australia Pacific, effective 16 October.

Today it lists 19 dealerships across five states and more than 1,000 employees, with its corporate head office at the Daimler Trucks Laverton site in Truganina, Victoria, selling Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Fuso exclusively. Note the staff count has moved fast — around 670 in December 2021 against 1,000-plus now — and the site count went from 15 in late 2021 to 19, without the company explaining which sites were added when. For the purposes of this record: no public source describes VPOS as a product sold to anyone outside the group, so treat it as a dealership parts-and-service counter system rather than a till you can buy.
