Whoods POS — bank compatibility

Whoods is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail. Built for Australian venues, and it will run beside your existing till rather than replacing it.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

Whoods is a Zeller integrated partner, one of 24 in Zeller's cloud POS category, listed alongside Tower Systems, SwiftPOS, Redcat, Lightspeed Retail, Hike and Zii. The pitch is POS and payments that can run standalone or next to a POS you already have. The order types are the giveaway as to where it is aimed: counter, table and room, plus festival, stadium seat, pickup and delivery. Named integrations are Zeller, Stripe, MiClub and Xero, and it describes itself as built and supported in Australia.

What it does not publish is a company. There is no entity name, founding year, headcount or customer count anywhere we could find, including on its own contact and privacy pages — unusual for a vendor sitting this close to payments, and worth asking about directly. Zeller customers are offered no sign-up fee and six months free, which puts a clock on the decision without answering any of that.

Connected through

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
