WinX is a point-of-sale system for accommodation, hospitality, retail and ticketing, built by E-Hors Technology. a Malaysian hotel system started by Dutch investors in Penang, where the POS is one module out of eighteen.

WinX is a property management system first and a point of sale somewhere down the list. E-Hors runs eighteen integrated modules — front office, housekeeping, venue and catering, service centre, sales and marketing, accounting, procurement, HR, food and beverage — with POS as one of them, plus add-ons for PABX, WiFi and theme parks. So if you are shortlisting this, you are choosing a hotel platform and inheriting its till, not buying a till.

The company's own history: a group of Dutch investors established WinX in Penang, Malaysia in 2006, the team was twelve people by 2008, an E-Hors Corp entity followed in the Philippines in 2010, MSC status came in 2017, an Ipoh office in 2018, and V10 was a complete rewrite in 2022. The company says a partnership to establish E-Hors Australia Pty Ltd was formed in 2024.

We could not verify that Australian entity independently, and no Australian hotel customer is named anywhere. No founders are listed on the company's own pages. One database puts the founding at 2002 against the company's own 2006, and the same listing's description is plainly wrong about what the company does, so we have discounted it. The short version: a credible Malaysian hotel PMS with a fresh and unproven Australian presence.
