WorkGuru POS — bank compatibility

WorkGuru POS is a point-of-sale system for general retail and retail. Not really a till — a job-costing system for fabricators and engineers that happens to be able to take a card.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

Co-founded by Tony Harcourt and Michael Davis, with the first line of code written in 2017 and the public launch at Xerocon in 2019. Two offices: Salisbury in Queensland, and London. Harcourt's background is software founding and engineering, Davis's is SaaS implementation and job and project management, and the product reflects both — it is an operations system, not a retail one.

The target customer is a fabricator, engineer or manufacturer who needs job costs, inventory and project tracking in one place; the company cites 1,500-plus launches up to 2024. If you have landed on this page looking for a cafe or shop till, it is the wrong product. If you run a workshop and want the deposit and progress payment taken against the job rather than rekeyed into a standalone terminal, it is the right question to be asking.

Connected through

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
