WPOS — bank compatibility

WPOS is a point-of-sale system for bars and pubs, cafes, hospitality and quick service, and 2 more, built by Wsoft. A founder-run Sydney shop whose main technical argument is that it keeps trading when the internet drops.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

It handles split bills and cash out. Tyro rates it a Plus partner.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

WPOS is the product of Wsoft, a 100% Australian-owned software company based in Sydney and founded by Petr Toth. The pitch is roughly 50 industry features, AI-assisted management of the core business functions, 24/7 support by chat with remote access for the hard problems, and custom website design with the menu synced back to the POS.

The one differentiator worth anything is the architecture. It runs hybrid, so it keeps trading offline when the connection goes — a direct shot at the pure-cloud products, and a real consideration if you are in a spot with flaky internet or you run a food truck. Verticals are cafes, restaurants, bars, takeaways, pizzerias, bakeries, food trucks and retail.

It is a small operation. Judge it on support responsiveness and a couple of reference calls, not on the feature count, and get the offline behaviour demonstrated rather than described.
