X2/Framework POS — bank compatibility

Point-of-sale system by Arcad Technology · All point-of-sale systems

X2/Framework is a point-of-sale system for professional services, built by Arcad Technology. A Melbourne company with a name that collides with two much bigger ones, neither of which is this.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud or on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud or on premise. Linkly holds 2 separate certified builds for it, so what works depends which one you are on.

Arcad Technology Pty Ltd is registered at Docklands in Melbourne, with ABN and GST active from 19 December 2006 and no trading names recorded. Linkly's accredited register lists it with the product X2/Framework under professional services rather than retail or hospitality, which tells you something about where it is deployed: a framework integration in a services setting rather than a shopfront till. Beyond the registration there is no website, no founder, no headcount and no customer published anywhere.

The name is the trap here, and it is worth spelling out because anyone searching the product will fall into it. This is not ARCAD Software, the French IBM i and DevOps tooling company with over 480 clients across 75 countries — that firm sells nothing resembling a point of sale. It is also not X2 POS, which belongs to X2 Retail LLP in Astana, Kazakhstan, and claims more than 4,300 stores. Two plausible-looking companies, neither of them the vendor on this record. If someone is quoting you X2/Framework, get the ABN.
