Zanda is practice-management software for allied health, dental and health. It was previously sold as Power Diary. Power Diary under a new name since November 2024 — same Ballarat company, same software, new badge.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

The integration covers HealthPoint private health claiming, Medicare bulk billing, Medicare Easyclaim and multi-merchant. Tyro rates it a Premium partner — their top tier.

If you have been quoted Zanda and you have never heard of it, that is because it was Power Diary until November 2024. The rebrand is the whole story of the name change — nothing was sold. The company started in 2007 when psychologist Damien Adler opened a clinic, could not find software that fit, and in 2010 built it with his brother Paul, who is still chief technology officer. They run it out of Ballarat Central in regional Victoria and it is now in use in more than 23 countries.

This is practice management software, not a retail POS, and the difference matters at the counter. The job it does is scheduling, client records, telehealth, automated reminders, online forms, invoicing and health fund claiming for allied health — psychology, physio, speech therapy, OT, counselling, chiro, podiatry, dietetics, massage, acupuncture. Tyro also tags it for dental. Built by a clinician for clinicians is a marketing line everywhere else; here it is literally how the thing came to exist.

Tyro certifies it at Premium tier, the top of its ladder. For a clinic the deciding factor is almost never the card rate — it is whether the claiming works cleanly at the end of a consult, which is the test to apply when you demo it.

Health claiming at the terminal

Certified through Tyro for Medicare Easyclaim — bulk bill, Medicare Easyclaim — part paid, Medicare Easyclaim — patient paid, Rebate estimate, Tyro HealthPoint. Tyro is its own acquirer, so claiming through the terminal means banking with Tyro.

Connected through

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
