Eway
The Australian independent that almost nobody searches by its owner’s name — sits in front of your bank facility rather than replacing it.

Genuinely independent: Eway connects to a merchant’s own Internet Merchant Facility at a supported Australian bank. Global Payments, which owns it, is also a principal acquirer — so the merchant can take the acquiring from the same group or not, and that is a separate decision.

- Yes — Global Payments is an acquirer too
Eway is the reason this part of the site is built the way it is. Nobody searches for "Global Payments Australia"; they search for Eway. The product has a brand of its own that is older and better known than its owner’s, and it needs its own page for that reason alone.
What it does is the textbook independent model: the merchant holds an Internet Merchant Facility with a supported Australian bank, and Eway sits in front of it. Change banks and the checkout does not change. That is the opposite of what a merchant gets from BPOINT or PayWay, and it is the single most useful thing to understand before choosing either kind.
Global Payments acquired Eway and is itself a principal acquirer with two Australian participant entities, now including Worldpay. So a merchant can take the gateway and the acquiring from the same group if they want the simplicity — but unlike a bank gateway, they do not have to.

What it costs
Global Payments does not publish gateway fees for Eway. The merchant service fee is negotiated on your volume and card mix. Find out what yours should be.
