US-listed acquirer with two Australian participant entities, now including Worldpay after completing that acquisition in January 2026.
About Global Payments
Global Payments holds two Australian AusPayNet participant memberships — Global Payments Australia 1 Pty Ltd and Worldpay Pty Limited, the latter listed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Payments Inc. Worldpay is also an AP+ scheme member.
Global Payments completed its US$24.25 billion acquisition of Worldpay in January 2026, alongside divesting its Issuer Solutions business, so the two Australian entities are now under common ownership and may be consolidated or rebranded. Treat them as one group and expect entity changes.
Neither entity appears in the RBA’s least-cost-routing tables, which suggests Australian scale is modest relative to the majors — an inference from absence rather than a published figure. Australian head office is not published and is left blank.
