About ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions

ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions began trading on 1 April 2022, when Worldline closed its commercial acquiring alliance with ANZ and took 51% of the venture. Worldline described it at closing as Australia’s third largest acquirer, with around 20% of transaction volumes processed in Australia. It is headquartered in Melbourne with offices in Sydney and Brisbane, and is expressly not an ADI.

Ownership changed in 2026: ANZ completed the acquisition of Worldline’s 51% stake on 3 August 2026, taking full ownership at an A$89 million enterprise value on a 51% basis, with roughly 270 employees transferring to ANZ Group. ANZ said there would be no change to existing operations; the future of the ANZ Worldline brand beyond completion has not been stated.

The terminal and gateway estate is Worldline-branded — Worldline Edge, Move 5000, Tap on Mobile, Worldline Roam, Global Online Pay and Pay by Link. The Suncorp Bank merchant portfolio is being referred into it as Suncorp exits merchant services on 11 December 2026.
