NAB Gateway is the product NAB leads with on its ecommerce page, and one of the few Australian bank gateways with its pricing published rather than quoted. There is no setup fee, a $30 monthly access fee and a $0.25 fee on each transaction, plus a merchant service fee that is negotiated and that this site does not publish.
NAB states integration with 80 or more business platforms and includes fraud tooling and 3-D Secure in the product rather than selling them alongside it.
It is acquirer-tied: the gateway settles through NAB. A merchant who moves their acquiring elsewhere does not take it with them. NAB also sells the other side of that trade — an eCommerce Merchant Account that lets a business keep an independent gateway and settle through NAB — which is worth knowing before committing a build to either.
What it costs
The gateway fees above are what NAB publishes. The merchant service fee on top is negotiated on your volume and card mix, and it is the bigger number. Find out what yours should be.
