The UNO Mini is not a terminal a merchant ever sees. It is a 49.5 x 49.5 x 10.8mm board that a vending, kiosk or amusement manufacturer builds into their own machine so the finished product accepts contactless without them having to certify anything themselves.
That is what it is really selling: certification. EMV levels 1, 2 and 3 and EMVCo L1 v3.x with full NFC including card emulation, with SDKs for Linux, Windows and Android. A machine builder who tried to do this from first principles would spend a year on approvals.
An ARM Cortex-M33 at 160MHz with TrustZone, two AES coprocessors, a DPA-resistant public key accelerator and a NIST SP800-90B random number generator. Four green LEDs for EMV status, one micro SAM slot, 5 to 12V DC drawing 0.7W idle. Operating range is -35 to 85C, the widest of anything on this site.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same UNO Mini can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
