The A80 is the countertop unit in the PAX Android range — 181 x 84 x 81mm and 405g without the battery, built to sit beside a till rather than be carried.
It still takes Ethernet and a dial line alongside Wi-Fi and 4G, which matters more than it should in venues where the network is old or the site has to keep trading through an outage. An optional battery turns it portable for a trip to a table without buying a second device.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same A80 can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
