The P630 Plus is the customer-facing half of a counter where the till does the selling. It keeps a backlit tactile 15-key keypad below a 3.5-inch colour touchscreen — a combination that is becoming rare, and that still suits anyone who cannot reliably use glass.
It runs Android 13 on a Qualcomm QCS2290 quad-core A53 at 2GHz with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of flash, which is a lot of terminal for a PIN pad and is there so the screen can carry promotions and loyalty between transactions rather than sitting idle. A bottom-mounted 2MP camera with a red aimer reads loyalty barcodes and QR codes.
It is 170 x 80 x 33mm and 310g, IK04 and IP53, PCI PTS 6.x, powered from a 9 to 12V DC jack. Mounting pole, countertop stand, privacy shield and stylus are accessories, and Verifone’s Navigator accessibility software runs on it.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same P630 Plus can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
