The Victa Reader has no screen of its own worth speaking of and no POS application. It pairs over Bluetooth to a phone or tablet, iOS or Android, and the merchant’s own app does the selling. At 110g that is the whole proposition: the terminal is the phone already in their pocket.
It takes all three — contactless, chip and magstripe — which is more than most phone-paired readers, and it is certified to PCI PTS 7. An MFi certification means it is approved to work with Apple hardware rather than merely connecting to it.
An Arm Cortex-M33 with 2.5MB of RAM and 12MB of flash, on an 800mAh battery that charges over USB-C or on a Qi pad. LED indicators cover charging, payment activity and pairing. IK04 and IP53, with a lanyard hole and an optional charging base.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same Victa Reader can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
