The DX8000 comes in two versions and the difference is not cosmetic. The DX8000-5 has a 6-inch HD+ screen at 1440 x 720, 16GB flash and 2GB RAM, a 3350mAh battery, a 2MP front camera and dual-band Wi-Fi. The DX8000-2 has a 5.5-inch HD screen, 8GB and 1GB, a 2600mAh battery, a 0.3MP front camera and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only.
Everything else is shared: 198 x 83 x 62.5mm, 450g, Android 10 on a quad-core A53, a 40mm thermal printer, PCI PTS v6, and four combined SAM and SIM slots.
If a quote says only "DX8000", it is worth asking which. The two are far enough apart on screen and memory that a merchant could reasonably prefer one and be handed the other.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same Axium DX8000 can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
