The Self/2000 LE takes contactless and QR payments and nothing else — no chip slot, no magstripe — with PIN entry on a 3.26-inch capacitive screen behind 6mm glass. It is built into the front of a vending machine or kiosk and sits on the EVA EPS standard door module footprint, so it drops into a cutout that already exists.
The LE in the name is the low-energy platform: faster boot and a deep sleep mode, which matters on a site running off a limited supply. It will take 9 to 16V DC directly, or 10 to 45V with a power add-on box.
It is 85 x 107 x 99.2mm and 340g, IP65 and IK09, rated -20 to +70C, PCI PTS v6 with PIN on Glass certification. MDB master and slave, extra power, EXE and 4G all arrive as add-on boxes rather than being fitted as standard, and the modules can be added in the field.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same Self/2000 LE can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
