The Lane/3600 does one job: take a card at a lane where a till is already doing everything else. It has no battery, no printer and no Android, and at 167 x 82 x 40mm and 227g it is small enough to disappear into a counter.
The display is 2.8 inches behind a glass lens with a 15-key physical keypad, and both card readers are specified to half a million reads. A rear 0.3MP camera handles QR codes. Security is PCI PTS v6, with an optional certified privacy shield, a secured lock receptacle and detection of abnormal cable removal.
Ingenico also sells it into semi-attended kiosks rather than only staffed lanes, with an adaptation plate for the purpose.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same Lane/3600 can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
