The N1-22 is not a payment terminal with a POS bolted on; it is a 22-inch point-of-sale screen with payment built in. The display is 1080 x 1920 capacitive multi-touch, driven by an A73 octa-core at 2.4GHz with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of flash.
It runs Android 16, which is newer than anything else in the Castles range by several generations, and carries built-in NFC with a three-in-one card reader as an option. There is a cash drawer port and an RS232 line for the rest of the counter.
Castles sells it both ways — staff-facing at a till, or turned around as a compact self-checkout. IP54, operating 0 to 50C, and a 5MP front camera.
