The S1P2 is the current Castles PIN pad: 179 x 78 x 23mm and 252g, with a 4-inch colour touchscreen and thirteen large backlit keys. Thirteen rather than fifteen, and deliberately large, because the keypad is the part a stranger uses once.
It takes magstripe, chip, contactless and QR through a 0.3MP front camera. A quad-core A53 at 2.0GHz with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of flash rising to 32GB. Wired ports beyond USB — Ethernet and RS232 — come through the optional Magic Box.
PCI PTS 6.x and IP53, with a PIN shield available. The S1P2-PLUS above it is the same body certified to PCI PTS 7.x.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same S1P2 can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
