The V1P 3.5 is wired only — USB, RS232 and Ethernet, with no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth and no mobile. For a lane integration where the till is doing the work and the IT policy says no radios on the counter, that absence is the specification.
It runs secure Linux with 4GB of flash and 512MB of RAM behind a 3.5-inch 320 x 480 touchscreen, takes all three card types, and has fifteen backlit keys. An optional 2MP front camera reads QR codes, and a privacy shield is available.
It is 153 x 78 x 39mm and 220g — the smallest PIN pad Castles makes — with two SAM slots expandable to four. PCI PTS 6.x.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same V1P 3.5 can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
