The S1P2-PLUS is physically the S1P2 — 179 x 78 x 23mm, 252g, a 4-inch display and thirteen backlit keys — with two differences that matter in opposite directions. It is certified to PCI PTS 7.x rather than 6.x, which buys it years of field life. It runs Android 12 rather than 13.

If the question is how long the fleet can stay deployed, the certification wins and this is the one to take. The keycaps are a crystal finish rather than rubber, which Castles sells as a premium look and which also wipes down more easily.

Same quad-core A53 at 2.0GHz, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of flash, same card readers, same Magic Box for wired ports.

What it costs

The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same S1P2-PLUS can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
