The S1F3 is the mainstream Castles portable: a 5.5-inch HD+ touchscreen, a quad-core A53 at 2.0GHz, 32GB of flash and 2GB of RAM, and all three card readers. The printer is the quickest in the range at 100mm a second.
The specification that sets it apart is at the bottom of the certification list — ATEX, alongside the usual PCI PTS 6.x and the scheme approvals. ATEX is the European standard for equipment used where an explosive atmosphere can form, which in payments means a fuel forecourt. No other terminal in this range carries it.
It is 200 x 83 x 57mm and 380g with a 2600mAh battery, which is light for a device that size. A 5MP rear camera is standard and a 2MP front camera is optional.
