The S2L faces the customer at a supermarket lane or a busy counter. The 8-inch 1280 x 800 display is large enough to run video and promotional graphics alongside the transaction, which is the commercial argument for it: the screen a customer stares at while paying is advertising space nobody is using.
It keeps a 15-key physical PIN pad rather than going PIN-on-glass, and adds an 8MP autofocus front camera that doubles as a barcode scanner.
An octa-core A53 at 1.8GHz with 16GB of flash and 2GB of RAM, 32GB and 3GB optional. It is 210 x 200 x 30mm and 748g, mains-powered at 12V, PCI PTS 6.x.
What it costs
The rate you pay is negotiated on your volume and card mix, not set by the terminal — two businesses on the same S2L can be paying very different money. Find out what yours should be.
